Maryborough has a deserved reputation for its many quirky and quaint festivals that attract people from all over Australia and beyond.

Mary Poppins celebrations, world-record pub crawls, a Technology Challenge and a moon river festival are but a few. These complement popular weekly and monthly events adding colour to the city’s already vibrant community life.

Be sure to catch a bargain at the Heritage City Markets held every Thursday in the City’s heart. Meet our Town Crier and join Mary Heritage on a guided walking tour of the city. Grab a photograph of the firing of the historic time cannon at 1pm.

The last weekend of the month is a great time to mark Maryborough on your calendar. Take a Ghostly Tour if you dare! Or enjoy a fun filled morning of food, brass bands and steam trains at the Sunday in the Park celebrations in Queens Park.

Take in one of the many national and international shows at the Brolga Theatre, with a new program every month.
