Ghost Tours

Ghostly tours & tales of the Port of Maryborough...

Come discover Maryborough in all its ghostly glory on a remarkable tour that you’ll never forget.

Opium dens, brothels, grisly murders and unspeakable crimes - Maryborough’s dark past has created the perfect "haunt" for scores of earthbound spirits.

Many characters left their mark on the pages of Maryborough’s history and their bizarre and gruesome stories provide perfect material for the Ghostly Tours and
Tales of the Port of Maryborough.

The tour is a delightfully eerie progressive dinner in historic haunted sites while an impressive cast, which includes the Gravedigger, the Parson and the Town Gossip,
recreates true stories of love, betrayal, tragedy and murder - and of course spooky tales of the paranormal.

Like the ghost of dear old Ethel Smith who spent 40 years locked away in Mavis Bank or one of the several spirits said to roam the corridors of Rosehill Homestead.
The spine-chilling night of entertainment includes a torchlight visit to the Maryborough Cemetery, where a classic old graveyard scene awaits, with weathered headstones and the domed tower of a mortuary chapel fading into the
approaching gloom.

Bookings are essential and can be made at the Maryborough Visitor Information Centre, City Hall, Kent Street - 1800 214 789 or by email tourism@maryborough.qld.gov.au
