Fraser Island PermitsVehicle & Camping Permits for Fraser Island Visitors bringing a vehicle on to Fraser Island must obtain a vehicle access permit before arriving on Fraser Island. Vehicle Permits are $34.40 for One Month or $172.30 for 12 Months. Camping Permits are required for camping on Fraser Island at a cost of $4.50 per person per night or $18.00 per family per night. Camping Permits are not required when camping in a private camping ground, although normal site fees will apply. Camping and Vehicle Permits must be obtained in advance from the following Permit Issuing Offices or online through the Queensland Parks & Wildlife Service website. Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service publishes an invaluable weekly report, providing details of track conditions on the Island and QPWS campsite availablity.
